{"id":219,"date":"2012-11-24T23:59:23","date_gmt":"2012-11-25T05:59:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/recipeforflavor.com\/?p=219"},"modified":"2013-01-05T17:26:41","modified_gmt":"2013-01-05T23:26:41","slug":"chocolate-buttermilk-cake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipeforflavor.com\/?p=219","title":{"rendered":"Chocolate Buttermilk Cake"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"easyrecipe\">\t<link itemprop=\"image\" href=\"http:\/\/recipeforflavor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Chocolate-Buttermilk-Cake-1024x680.jpg\" \/> <span class=\"item ERName\">Chocolate Buttermilk Cake<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"ERClear\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"ERHead\">Author: <span class=\"author\">Derek Amato<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"ERHead\">Serves: <span class=\"yield\">8<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"ERIngredients\">\n<div class=\"ERIngredientsHeader\">Ingredients<\/div>\n<ul class=\"ingredients\">\n<li class=\"ERSeparator\">Cake<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">3 cups of all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 1\/2 cups of sugar<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">4 tsp of baking soda<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 tsp of salt<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 1\/3 cups of canola oil<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 1\/2 cups of buttermilk<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">3 large eggs<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 1\/2 cups of fresh, hot, strong coffee<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 tsp of vanilla<\/li>\n<li class=\"ERSeparator\">Icing<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">24 oz of semisweet chocolate chips<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 1\/2 cups of heavy whipping cream<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERInstructions\">\n<div class=\"ERInstructionsHeader\">Instructions<\/div>\n<div class=\"instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Grease 2 round 9-inch pans.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Mix the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt and cocoa powder in a large bowl with an electric mixer on low to combine.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">With the mixer still on low add the canola oil, buttermilk, then the eggs one by one.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the hot coffee slowly by pouring down the side of the mixing bowl.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the vanilla and mix until smooth.
